what kinda of information can I get for a stomach that does not drain its self?
my boyfriend has a problem with having trouble with digesting food and we had a drainage tube put in that is also his feeding tube. the food that he has is liquid and he still can not digest it. he is still draining the fluid out, so he is still not getting what he need. help please on my situation.

If your boyfriend is being followed by a physician then the proper and expected lab data would indicate his level of nutrition. If this has gone on for some time then you would be seeing an obvious weight loss. If tube feeding is not working the physician may suggest Total Parenteral Nutrition. TPN is a total nutrient equivalent that is given to patient’s if their gut is not absorbing the proper nourisment. See a physician for further questions.
