The geotextile protection fleece is a high quality non-woven polypropylene mechanically bonded (Ã¢‚¬Ëœneedle punchedÃ¢‚¬„¢) geotextile. These mechanically bonded materials are particularly robust with respect to potential installation damage as the combination of tensile strength and extensibility allows the material to flex and accommodate stress and strain whilst inhibiting puncture.
The fleece is used for light duty protection in an attenuation system protecting the impermeable liner which wraps the soakaway crates. It is also the perfect product for separation and filtration.
This product is CBR puncture resistant ranging from approximately 1400N to 3600N.

Permeable Geotextile Membranes
Permeable Geotextile membranes are large, porous rolls of fabric that allow water to filter straight through them but prevent soil particles from passing through. Permeable membranes are used in drainage and civil engineering applications such as filtration, soil separation, reinforcement, protection and general drainage.
There are two types of impermeable membranes, woven and non-woven. Woven membranes are generally stronger but donÃ¢‚¬„¢t allow water to pass through them quite as efficiently as their non-woven counterparts. For this reason, we recommend non-woven membranes for soakaway drainage and filtration applications, and woven membranes for soil separation and ground reinforcement purposes.
In soakaway and land drain applications, non-woven membranes increase the efficiency of the drain or soakaway by keeping soil particles out and maintain the as-new void ratio of the structure. Non-woven membranes are made from engineered textiles with perforations created by a needle punch process.
